Current stage – Under Construction

Construction commencing on the new primary school in Whitlam was marked with a Smoking Ceremony on 16 June 2025.

The school will open for term 1 in 2027 with its first cohort of students. The starting year levels will be announced in mid-2026.

The Early Childhood Education and Care Centre (ECEC) will be developed at a future stage.

New ACT public schools are designed with the Education Directorate’s Infrastructure Specification (EDIS) to ensure contemporary, sustainable, and inclusive learning spaces that prioritise the wellbeing of students and staff.

The school’s design responds to the strong connections with the nearby nature reserve and Molonglo River, and the vital cultural significance of the region, with a focus on environmentally sustainable design in the Whitlam development.
